01:53 🔗 w0rp Have you just discovered the wonders of reverse-i-search?
02:54 🔗 godane so i got a problem with one of my videos
02:54 🔗 godane it was a .ogg and so IA thought it was a good idea to make a mp3 of it
02:54 🔗 godane but the .ogg is really a video file
03:07 🔗 xmc maybe it should be a .ogv ?
03:07 🔗 godane thats the original file name
03:09 🔗 xmc well, I bet the deriver would recognize .ogv as video
03:13 🔗 godane i changed to .ogv and now its set to derive
03:14 🔗 godane it gives me another mp3 or thinks its audio its going to piss me off
03:14 🔗 godane and now it pissing me off
03:15 🔗 godane change to .ogv will still cause it to make a mp3 of it
03:18 🔗 dashcloud are you sure there's video in the file, and not just audio?
03:19 🔗 godane i played video from that file
03:22 🔗 godane i'm grabbing the youtube 720p video
03:23 🔗 godane thats a mp4
03:49 🔗 xmc set the mediatype correctly?
03:50 🔗 godane i uploaded a mp4 and now it works

13:45 🔗 deathy joepie92: what's that for / what's the channel for that?
13:47 🔗 nico_ it is #angerthehyve
13:47 🔗 nico_ but you've already joinded
13:47 🔗 nico_ joined
14:24 🔗 w0rp I might be wrong, but I think it's possible that my previously mentioned Firefox memory issues came from leaving the Archive Team tracker open in a pinned tab for a long period of time. There might be a memory leak.
14:24 🔗 w0rp I left it open again, went out for a few hours, and there is a noticeable jump in the memory Firefox is using.
14:25 🔗 antomatic I've seen that too, w0rp - I usually had to restart it after a few days or so
14:25 🔗 antomatic (Firefox, that is)
14:26 🔗 w0rp It could probably be fixed by replacing direct use of DOM with jQuery. The library is already included there. Mind if I give it go some time when I'm bored?
14:26 🔗 w0rp (DOM is a good source of JS memory leaks.)
14:39 🔗 nico_ Your repository "nsapa/xanga-grab" was successfully deleted.
14:40 🔗 nico_ poor old thing :'(
14:53 🔗 joepie92 deathy: indeed, #angerthehyve
14:53 🔗 joepie92 w0rp; it appears to just wholesale replace the entire DOM tree every time an update happens
14:53 🔗 joepie92 so that's probably where it's going wrong
14:54 🔗 joepie92 tbh something like Angular seems ideal for stuff like this
14:54 🔗 joepie92 you won't get a giant mess of DOM operations to maintain order, you won't need to wholesale replace the DOM on every update
14:54 🔗 joepie92 and can still keep live-sorted lists etc
15:21 🔗 w0rp I've never used Angular before. Seems like an MVC thing. I imagine it probably has something of the form of a list view with a model for the list to back it.
15:30 🔗 joepie92 w0rp: the idea is that you define in the HTML itself how the information in the scope ("model" I guess) is represented
15:30 🔗 joepie92 and as that information changes angular automatically modifies the DOM
15:30 🔗 joepie92 to keep it in sync with the actual dta
15:30 🔗 joepie92 data *
15:30 🔗 joepie92 the docs are a bit shit, but angular itself is very very cool
15:32 🔗 w0rp MVC and HTML aways bothered me a little, because HTML is both a model and a view.
15:33 🔗 joepie92 :)
15:33 🔗 joepie92 w0rp: angular isn't strict MVC
15:33 🔗 joepie92 anyway
15:33 🔗 joepie92 https://github.com/KnightSwarm/Envoy/blob/feature/client-tide/src/client/Envoy%20Client/Resources/index.html
15:33 🔗 w0rp Yeah, I imagine it can't be.
15:33 🔗 joepie92 example of something I'm working on
15:33 🔗 joepie92 with Angular
