[16:25] It is [16:25] Ah wait, it's in both lists. [16:25] I was just looking at the hiatus list. [16:25] Fixed [16:27] Also, I would like to make a bold project at the top of the current project lists that are priority projects that we are working on [16:27] to make sure we guide people to the right areas [16:27] For those who missed the discussion in #nofap: basically, that project was a huge mess, at least partially due to poor communication. We realised that the wiki is often outdated (e.g. Eroshare page read "Upcoming" while the project was running) and that we should work on that. [16:29] One messy part is the list of current projects on the main page, because it isn't really all that current. For example, it lists PDF 2016, which has been paused for over a year as far as I know... [16:30] Im going over the list and moving things around [16:30] I also plan on updating all the project pages that have out of date information [16:30] and making sure everything is correct [16:31] JAA: what do you think of my current changes [16:33] Another thing I mentioned in #nofap are the messy project pages. Many contain a "How can I help" section which is just copy-pasted across from other pages with one link changed. I think we should move that to a separate page and simply link to it from the project pages. [16:33] We need a better template overall, I think we should also include tech details on what was saved and how [16:34] Yes, and a link to the archives. [16:34] (Or links, depending on the project) [16:34] Ya [16:35] Ill update my Pixiv page on how I think it should be [16:35] I'm not sure I'd move the recently finished projects list all the way up there. [16:37] That list is really only meant for projects finished people will be asking the status about [16:38] so keep any completed projects done on there for a month, then moved it off [16:40] Yeah [16:40] Its not about what we know, its about what others need to find out [16:40] How about a list which covers both currently running and recently completed projects? [16:41] Then add a nice-looking label "Running" and "Finished". [16:41] Like a project prefix? [16:42] In a way, yeah. [16:42] I updated the page, take a look [16:46] Quick mockup: https://i.imgur.com/oUWMz69.png [16:46] Hrm [16:46] Maybe not for the completed, but other statuses, like when we are still writing the code for it [16:46] in progress [16:46] and just finishing up [16:47] i can't download this file: https://mega.nz/#!aJNQ2I7L!GLzPw10_8uIjWpUg6aCsr2jne6hi3HwG1ERNgnU_pXg [16:47] truely completed projects should be moved off page [16:47] its cause the pdf has http:// in the name [16:47] When we're still writing the code, it should probably be in "Upcoming projects". [16:47] Ya [16:47] Well [16:47] megadl doesn't have option to change the name [16:47] thats the issue [16:48] Well yeah, you just said that we should keep completed projects there for a while because people will come ask for them. (And I agree with that.) [16:48] JAA: Im thinking as a new user, someone panicking because their site they used is being closed [16:48] .putting sites we know we will be archiving in a few days up there near the top is idea [16:48] ideal* [16:48] Yeah, probably. [16:50] Having the tages would be nice [16:50] godane: I got the file, do you want me to put it somewhere? [16:51] how did you get the file? [16:52] firefox and megadl failed on me [16:52] Firefox [16:52] i just need to know how to get if its possible [16:52] my firefox filed on it [16:52] *failed [16:53] I'm on Debian, by the way. [16:53] slackware for me [16:53] Hm [16:53] It's just this file failing for you on Firefox? [16:54] i think its working now [16:54] it was giving a http:// before [16:54] but now its not [16:55] Anyway JAA, Ill wait for arkiver / SketchCow to be around before I start my cleanup effort [16:55] Yeah, I was about to say, for me the filename is "...(http.pdfgamesmagazine...", no :// [16:55] Yep [16:56] its only weird cause even megadl had the same problem as firefox [16:56] ERROR: Download failed for 'https://mega.nz/#!aJNQ2I7L!GLzPw10_8uIjWpUg6aCsr2jne6hi3HwG1ERNgnU_pXg': Remote file name is invalid: 'Nintendo World 47 - Julho 2002(http://pdfgamesmagazine.blogspot.com.br).pdf' [16:56] anyways i got it so don't worry about it [16:56] Yeah, interesting. [16:57] I also plan on posting to /r/DH and /r/archiveteam when we start a new project [16:59] Yeah, I want to be more active there as well. [17:02] Im someone with no-life so [17:02] and I'm in-between "Projects" [17:05] JAA: Overall we want all the newbies to see the information we want them to see before the scroll [17:09] Yeah, agreed. Ignoring these removed about 400k URLs from the queue, which is now at 4.64M URLs (first time below 5M, yay!). 9.62M URLs have been retrieved, and I expect it to crack 10M in a few hours. [21:42] JAA, whatcha archivin [21:44] Tilt, a fundraising platform which will disappear soon. [21:45] I already grabbed the website recursively, but some data is only available through the API (and loaded on the website through JavaScript), so I'm grabbing that as well.
