The good thing about Discourse (the forum software used on DuckDuckHack) is that it still works fine without JavaScript. That version could use a proper stylesheet, but at least it works, i.e. you can access all content. The forum software you want to criticise is the one Roblox is using; it uses a hidden POST form with JavaScript for *everything*.

So it looks like Imgur serves JPEGs instead of the animated GIFs in some cases. Example from the current Reddit frontpage: https://i.imgur.com/eTl64Na.gif . I've seen a few others lately. Just another annoyance besides the hotlinking stuff etc. that might need to be considered if we ever try to archive them.

Another one to keep in mind: if the image code is eight characters long and ends in "h", it'll also only serve a static image instead of the animated version.
