00:00 πŸ”— CoolCanuk likely wasn't IA's fault
00:03 πŸ”— ola_norsk no it's the codec that was used in the source i think. 'ftl' is some thingy that prevents buffers i think. And quick start at streaming plays.
00:03 πŸ”— ola_norsk 'Faster Than Light Streaming Protoco'
00:04 πŸ”— ola_norsk 'Faster Than Light Streaming Protocol' *
00:05 πŸ”— ola_norsk https://watchbeam.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/209659623-FTL-Faster-Than-Light-streaming-protocol-
00:07 πŸ”— ola_norsk nah, i think i'm wrong. no fucking way 'mixr' or microsoft came up with that. Disregard everything i said.
00:11 πŸ”— ola_norsk since the majority of pirated shit is often 1080p, it would be kind of silly of IA to pump out 60fps 4K videos IMO. Better they would autoshow lesser, while letting people download the 4K version in the item menu
00:17 πŸ”— ola_norsk http://carltonbale.com/does-4k-resolution-matter/
00:39 πŸ”— CoolCanuk AFAIK, IA will pump out original files
00:43 πŸ”— ola_norsk aye
00:43 πŸ”— ola_norsk as far it's possible though
00:44 πŸ”— ola_norsk if the original movie or audio file is streamable, i mean
00:45 πŸ”— ola_norsk maybe they could learn something from e.g BitChute? :) https://torrentfreak.com/bitchute-is-a-bittorrent-powered-youtube-alternative-170129/
00:46 πŸ”— ola_norsk to save bandwidth, i mean
00:47 πŸ”— ola_norsk "Instead of utilizing central servers, BitChute uses WebTorrent, a system which allows people to share videos directly from their browser, without having to configure or install anything. Essentially this means that the site’s users become hosts of the videos they’re watching, which slams BitChute’s hosting costs into the ground."

03:38 πŸ”— DrasticAc https://usercontent.irccloud-cdn.com/file/BNniSAkm/image.png
03:38 πŸ”— DrasticAc You can learn a lot about a Miiverse user based on their bio.
03:41 πŸ”— DrasticAc Parsing the user WARCs now, that should be done in a few hours. I'm parsing each warc individually and adding rows for each user profile, with a column for the warc file it came from. Since we passed over it multiple times, so some users got grabbed multiple times, so a few extra rows won't hurt.
03:42 πŸ”— DrasticAc That's somewhat useful because when we started, some users had their "original" bio, and by the end, they changed it to a "goodbye miiverse!" one, so now you can see what it was originally. It's not many, but still kinda good.
03:49 πŸ”— CoolCanuk where is FOS located? I'm choosing a server and want the lowesst ping. State is fine (dont need city)

20:35 πŸ”— CoolCanuk they don't use cloudflare.
20:40 πŸ”— du_ they are using akamai

20:52 πŸ”— ola_norsk hei. When importing and running the Warrior in virtualbox, it always fails with Guru meditation :/ Here is the virtualbox log https://pastebin.com/0sJGGTVt
20:52 πŸ”— godane more tapes uploaded: https://www.patreon.com/posts/digitize-tapes-15764149
20:56 πŸ”— ola_norsk i'm currently on the pc i intend to run the warrior on, and on my daily machine it did not fail like this. Is there somewhere i could download previous Warrior appliance file, to try that?
20:58 πŸ”— ola_norsk it simply doesn't fail either, it causes me to have to tty and kill virtualbox :/
20:59 πŸ”— ola_norsk basically it crashes desktop interaction until the virtualbox task is killed
21:04 πŸ”— ola_norsk if there's any changes to the vm i might try, let me know please

21:07 πŸ”— bitspill ola_norsk: I'm not overly familiar with the VM images but if your on a Linux based OS you could try running the *-grab script directly as another user
21:07 πŸ”— bitspill https://github.com/ArchiveTeam/vidme-grab#running-without-a-warrior
21:08 πŸ”— ola_norsk would that be possible on a let's say a 'home made' debian VM?
21:08 πŸ”— ola_norsk anyway, ill try that
21:08 πŸ”— bitspill I'm running the scripts in a xubuntu VM on windows
21:10 πŸ”— ola_norsk sounds better than having it go bonkers like this :) The fact that is locks this host's desktop entirely make me think it might be virtualbox's fault.
21:11 πŸ”— ola_norsk using VirtualBox VM 5.1.30_Ubuntu r118389 linux.amd64 (Oct 17 2017 06:50:29) btw
21:14 πŸ”— ola_norsk bitspill: sry, i didn't see the url correctly.. That is just vidme specific scripts, or=
21:14 πŸ”— ola_norsk ?
21:14 πŸ”— bitspill yea, that's specific to vidme but the others are names similarly
21:14 πŸ”— bitspill https://github.com/archiveteam/roblox-grab
21:15 πŸ”— ola_norsk is there anywhere i could get previous Warrior appliance version?
21:16 πŸ”— bitspill not that I'm aware of, but I also haven't looked into it
21:16 πŸ”— bitspill IIRC someone said the current warrior appliance is ~6 years old so I don't imagine an older one yet would make much difference :P
21:19 πŸ”— ola_norsk aye, i see now 2012 , based on the filename :/ http://archive.org/download/archiveteam-warrior/archiveteam-warrior-v2-20121008.ova

22:08 πŸ”— ola_norsk sec0nd: i'm not yet sure how the Warrior system works, but it would need some capture scripts
22:09 πŸ”— ola_norsk perhaps the best place to start would be to get all urls from the site?
22:09 πŸ”— ola_norsk (and to/from their subdomains as well)
22:12 πŸ”— ola_norsk each Warrior is said to never use more than 60GB of space, so it would have to need some sort of delegation of all that crap
