18:17 🔗 JAA TIL that GitHub hides parts of PRs (and issues, I assume) if the history is too long. See e.g. https://github.com/zfsonlinux/zfs/pull/5769 (search for "38 items not shown" or "archzfs/archzfs on 8 Jul 2017"). The hidden parts are loaded through XHR. So simply loading the issue/PR page is evidently not enough to capture all content in all cases.

19:15 🔗 ola_norsk hei. I've got two "mediatype:web" items with what i would consider an insane amount of views; 1k - 2k in short time..Are those actually people trying to view it, or just requests from archiving sites?...
19:15 🔗 ola_norsk i mean, both are WARC items..so there's nothing really to see..
19:16 🔗 ola_norsk at least not on the item pages
19:23 🔗 ola_norsk reason i'm asking is that i'm considering adding noindex:true if those views are simply people expecting to view it directly, instead of on WayBackmachine
19:31 🔗 WubTheCap I don't know personally, but remindful this is not archive.org
19:31 🔗 ola_norsk or perhaps views trough wayback is counted towards the source warcs? I'm actually struggling to understand if that is not the case
19:31 🔗 ola_norsk i am aware
19:32 🔗 WubTheCap I think e.g. Pomf.se WARCs get a ton of views
19:32 🔗 ola_norsk both my items are simply twitter grabs (for the most part)
19:33 🔗 WubTheCap Look there: https://archive.org/details/archiveteam_pomf
19:34 🔗 WubTheCap Hundreds of thousands of views on each items
19:34 🔗 WubTheCap pomf.se redirected to Wayback Machine URLs after shutdown
19:36 🔗 ola_norsk what i'm thinking it might be best if i add "noindex:true" to those items, so they don't unecessarily much up the topics listings
19:37 🔗 ola_norsk muck*
19:38 🔗 ola_norsk that way they won't show up when people search right? only when using wayback
19:50 🔗 ola_norsk e.g https://archive.org/details/20180125-Cathy_Newman-Jordan_B_Peterson-Interview_twitter_debacle , is not the second most "relevant item" under topid "Cathy Newman"
19:50 🔗 ola_norsk now the*
