WhoWhatWhen
teej_It looks like from
I'm sorry.
Related to Huawei, CFO Wanzhou had some things (https://www.nytimes.com/2018/12/07/technology/meng-wanzhou-huawei-arrest.html) affecting Skycom Tech (https://www.unitedagainstnucleariran.com/company/skycom-tech-co-ltd).
I'm going to look more into it.

eientei95It looks like archive.org now applies robots.txt to listing indexed URLs http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://www.javagameplay.com:80/* [01:41]
markedi'm opposed to the policy because of domain name expirations [01:41]
teej_Listing indexed URLs?
eientei95: What do you mean?
[01:43]
eientei95teej_: https://web.archive.org/cdx/search?url=www.nick.com%2F%2Fgames%2Fdata%2F now gives `org.archive.util.io.RuntimeIOException: org.archive.wayback.exception.RobotAccessControlException: Blocked By Robots` where it would previously list the indexed URLs [01:44]
teej_eientei95: Oh.
I'm assuming that's a bad thing.
How is the Internet Archive supposed to deal with domain changes and other events?
[01:45]
markedI'v e seen before domains expire and new owners temp sites have robots.txt and then archie gets blocked . dont know if still happens [01:52]

teej_So do you think it's okay to add Shields badges to the wiki page for the project licenses?
It will clean things up and make the table more dynamic and easy to update.
The only downside is that it relies on shields.io.
But even then, the project information comes mostly from GitHub anyways.
It can save visual screen space and make it easier to view the table
[17:27]
JAAOnly if we host it ourselves, in my opinion. Depending on external services is never a good idea. [17:33]
teej_JAA: Oh. So from taking a look at the repo (https://github.com/badges/shields), there is some documentation here: https://github.com/badges/shields/blob/master/doc/self-hosting.md [17:36]
JAAYep [17:37]
teej_Do you think it can be done? [17:37]
JAAIt can certainly be done. The question is rather whether someone wants to do it.
Also, what usage of these badges did you have in mind exactly?
[17:38]
teej_I can replace a lot of the manual details of projects and information with badges for tables on the wiki like the following: https://www.archiveteam.org/index.php?title=The_WARC_Ecosystem [17:40]
JAASure, but would it really be more readable then? [17:42]
teej_I think that's the only major use case, I suppose. So the benefits of such a server deployment would be minor. I do think it would be more readable, however.
Not enough to be considered a major improvement, though.
