[09:51] almost instantly |I've thought of doing it in bash with 'date' [15:22] alard: done [15:22] bt-download00.us.archive.org has address 207.241.226.35 [15:22] host warctozip.archive.org [15:22] warctozip.archive.org is an alias for bt-download00.us.archive.org. [15:28] underscor: Wonderful. [15:28] Now we just need to make an index of the mobileme tar files (and others). [15:29] Maybe that's a good job for the warrior. [15:29] awesome [15:30] Once we have a list of which warc file is where in each tar file, we can make an index with "Download as ZIP" links. [15:30] how would the warrior do that? [15:30] oic [15:30] awesome [15:31] Well, I have a script that scans tar files and records the byte offset of each warc file. The warrior could run that script for all 27,000 tar files in the mobileme section. [16:41] Hi [16:41] May I ask a question? [16:43] you just have [16:45] Cool, I just wanted to check if it was okay before launching into quite a long rant [16:45] In regards to cloudflare; many sites are beginning to use this service, which means that if you're archiving 3 different sites, all the connections could be going to a single cloudflare ip. As cloudflare specialize in anti-ddos technology, they are likely to pick up on this unusual traffic quickly and block it. [16:47] Anyway, I suppose the point is that it is something for archivers to consider. I already made the mistake and now have to fill out a captcha to load any site using cloudflare, which obviously renders wget and httrack useless [17:37] n0829: hmmm that sucks, thanks for the reminder [18:36] is thisk actually what jeff wanted to do? http://www.us.archive.org/log_show.php?task_id=118514832 [18:47] chronomex: he went 40 min before your reply :( [18:49] Oh.
