As for the Scientology angle, there is a large movement in the 1950s and the 1960s to utilize "intrusive" questioning and therapies to get more accurate patient information, partially from self-assessment and partially from more emotion or feelings-based questions instead of pure "does it hurt" questions that allowed burying of details or conditions. |
