[01:01] !ao http://siberiantimes.com/other/others/news/the-ghost-town-at-the-end-of-the-earth/ [16:46] SketchCow: webstock collection is starting: https://archive.org/search.php?query=subject%3A%22Webstock%202006%22 [18:35] Don't know how much longer this will stay online… http://www.h-online.com/open/news/item/The-H-is-closing-down-1920027.html [18:38] kyan: thank you for informing us!!! :D [18:40] We've talked about it before and I think it's been mirrored. But I'll check my logs [18:48] Of course archiveteam would be logging [18:49] TurnipCan: ? [18:50] Archiveteam, all about preserving stuff on the internet, logically the member would log IRC- Nevermind [18:50] Joke floundered [18:50] :P [18:54] of course we do [18:55] always be logging [18:55] A.B.L. [20:52] I know I mentioned this in #warrior as well but windows 8 hyperv compatible warrior http://jonimoose.net/uploads/archiveteam-warrior-v2-20121008-hyperv.zip [20:54] Jonimus: is there is a set of rules on how to regenerate that image (e.g. puppet, chef, ansible, etc. rules)? if so, feel free to commit that to a git repo it and add it to github.com/ArchiveTeam [20:54] ALWAYS BE LOGGING [20:55] ivan`: In the future, e-mail me ftp sites to grab. [20:55] yipdw: its the same image, just the vhmk's converted to .vhd's and I updated the kernel from backports to improve network performance [20:58] yipdw: that said if the build-vm.sh script created .vhd's instead of .vdi's it might save that step [20:59] though I think the .ova format forces .vmdk's but I could be wrong. [21:01] OVF doesn't force any particular disk format [21:01] VirtualBox does seem to convert to VMDK on OVF export [21:02] hmm then I wonder why VBoxManage export converted to vmdk [21:02] my guess is that that is just what it does [21:03] the only requirement the OVF spec places on the disk format is that the OVF contain a format URL that refers to an "unencumbered" specification on how to read the disk [21:03] whatever "unencumbered" means [21:05] it seems vboxmanage does force that according to the docs. [21:06] probably some idiosyncrasy then [21:12] the bigger issue in my book is the kernel, I installed from backports but using a newer debian release woudl also solve that. [21:13] vbox has no issues converting the vdi's or vdmk's to .vhd's [21:26] SketchCow: smartcomputing.com and firstglimpsemag.com are dead now [21:26] they redirect to sandhills.com now [21:27] i'm uploading all the pdfs i got from 2012 and 2013 of those [22:54] Thanks [22:55] Hugs for all [22:58] * BlueMax takes the hugs. All of them. [23:09] SketchCow: webstock 2006 is fully uploaded now [23:57] Thanks.
