[04:43] 100 million flickr images.. http://yahoolabs.tumblr.com/post/89783581601/one-hundred-million-creative-commons-flickr-images-for [06:34] Yes, and none of them doing a good job http://boingboing.net/2014/04/07/restoring-cc-attribution-to-fl.html [06:35] But I'm asking Wikimedia Commons folks if we have a use for it [08:09] the Mindcandy 2 dvd has that demo of full-screen video on an 8088 as an easter egg :) [08:10] 8088 Corruption, that was the name [08:15] that same author recently released a new demo with much improved video capabilities [08:16] 8088 Domination, he did a writeup here: http://trixter.oldskool.org/2014/06/19/8088-domination-post-mortem-part-1/ [09:44] amerrykan: whoa, impressive [16:08] SketchCow: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=raurl4s0pjU [16:09] Those are some pretty memorable lines. [16:09] worth remembering, I'd say [16:10] there's a lecture where Hal Abelson (or was it Sussman?) dissects a watch to explain engineering, but I can't find it :P [16:14] yea, it was Sussman [16:14] apparently not on youtube either [16:19] also, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GJ6_nOqtuLw [16:19] SketchCow: i'm uploading the rest of game developer magazine pdfs i have [16:19] which is everything between 2007 to 2013 [16:23] Thanks for that. [16:24] so looks my catalog list is now down to low double digits [16:25] means i cans start uploading a ton more pdfs [20:42] As each book in my collection comes up for scanning, I am looking to see if it's already had. [20:43] If it's already scanned, I am downloading the PDF and the original scan images and placing them into a directory. [20:43] So in the future, if needed, I can put it in various places and refer to it should the question come up of access to it.
