SO much software being ingested. Vito`: how do I know if I've ripped a hybrid CD correctly?
I used disk utility on a mac to make a .cdr, and then did `hdiutil makehybrid -iso -joliet` on it
cd-info says it's not multi-mode, just one data track, but two filesystems
CD Analysis Report
CD-ROM with both Macintosh HFS and ISO 9660 filesystem
ISO 9660: 341289 blocks, label `SPACECOMMERCE ' bai: SPACE COMMERCE!
I didn't notice that trailing apostrophe at first, and I was going crazy trying to figure out what that white fleck was on my screen Vito`: ripping it as bin/cue and asking cd-info about the image says the same, and bchunking that to ISO will mount as HFS
lots of errors reading the disc, though, I dunno how good the image actually is
the iso seems to mount as HFS on my Mac and as ISO on linux
soo I guess that's good enough? DFJustin: just rip it to bin/cue with cdrdao or something, you shouldn't have to fuck with it
oh you did that SketchCow: At the current rate, I MAY ACTUALLY FINISH RIPPING CD-ROMS
I'm building a greater and greater collection of "didn't quite rip" which I intend to 'gift' to someone Vito`: checksumming the files between the image and the original disk and most of them are wrong though SketchCow: And then they try it Vito`: I'm not sure this disk is super readable
I'm trying to md5sum individual files and getting I/O errors
hm
maybe it's just Linux
the image I made on the Mac checksums correctly, although it's definitely not showing exactly the same contents as the Linux image is
