db48xheh
someone wrote me an email asking if I've ever found a workaround for the way I wrote Emularity
[17:39]
SketchCowI've been sent mail from people asking ways to avoid me [17:41]
db48xlol [17:41]
........ (idle for 35mn)
mmm, Firefox 57 is generating some work for me [18:16]
SketchCowIs it? [18:24]
db48xyes, a lot of extensions aren't compatible, so people are looking for workarounds [18:27]
SketchCowAh
But not, you know, emulation
[18:27]
db48xyea [18:27]
SketchCowWhat's left, compilation wise, anyway [18:30]
db48xI'm going to update my script so that it handles the edge cases better
and then I'm going to check the new files into a git annex repository
and I guess at some point we should test that they all work
then I'll publish the repository so that other users of Emularity can use it
and then I'll work on web assembly
[18:34]
SketchCowDo we want to throw the new compiles into the item? [18:37]
db48xif they work
also, lunch
I'm really starting to think about lunch

DFJustin: I have a question
https://archive.org/details/e2gs_0098_PD_Test_1
I put a disk in flop1 (bootable) and a disk in flop3 (not bootable)
This works fine in apple2ee
Is there something I'm breaking for apple2gs?
[21:18]
........ (idle for 38mn)
DFJustin00_DualBootHelper_qkumba.dsk doesn't boot for me on apple2gs in native mame, are you sure it's 2gs compatible [21:56]
SketchCowNo, not at all
Will likely ask qkumba to generate a different version.
[21:57]
DFJustinok I see, it does work if you have an apple II disk in -flop2
2gs 3.5" disks are a whole different ball game so there's no way it would read one without being specifically coded to
[22:01]
SketchCowOoo
I'm running an incredibly specific routine agains the Apple IIgs Euro section.
Basically, if the two boot screens of Apple IIgs prodos are what it chose as the "best" ones, then shunt them aside and choose the biggest of the remaining ones.
so instead of everything being: https://archive.org/download/e2gs_0391_Diversi_Tune_American_Folk-Patriotic/screenshot_00.jpg
It'll be more "informative" ones like https://archive.org/download/e2gs_0075_Kings_Quest_I_Disk_2/screenshot_01.jpg or https://archive.org/download/e2gs_0144_MS-DOS_Command/00_coverscreenshot.jpg or https://archive.org/download/e2gs_0124_Marble_Madness/screenshot_04.jpg
[22:02]
db48xlol [22:14]
SketchCowMeanwhile https://archive.org/download/CMUSICS/00_coverscreenshot.jpg [22:16]
db48xnice [22:17]
hrm, apparently mame config files are busted
Emularity downloads them, but MAME doesn't read them because we put them in the wrong place
[22:24]
SketchCowThat's new? [22:28]
db48xor it's been busted forever [22:31]
