WhoWhatWhen
SketchCowhttps://archive.org/details/hh_snspell in case anyone sees something I don't
Cannot enlarge memory arrays. Either (1) compile with -s TOTAL_MEMORY=X with X higher than the current value 268435456, (2) compile with -s ALLOW_MEMORY_GROWTH=1 which allows increasing the size at runtime, or (3) if you want malloc to return NULL (0) instead of this abort, compile with -s ABORTING_MALLOC=0

DFJustinyou should probably just replace the huge png with a web-res jpg and adjust the filename in the .lay [00:06]
SketchCowSketchCow slowly takes his hands away from the .sh messing

SketchCowDid they JUST change the ROMs or something?
Fixed it
No idea what happened
I had it working. Then it stopped.
Now it's working again.

............ (idle for 59mn)
DFJustinnot working here
oh works in chrome
works in waterfox so it's probably just my firefox nightly being weird
nice, the buttons are clickable too
[01:23]
db48xmust be a pretty detailed scan :P [01:36]

SketchCowThanks again for the .png to reduced resolution ida.
That made a galactic difference

I found out our stats are now updating 48-72 hours lagged
That is super sad
But the numbers are going to blow p when they do

SketchCowA report that Edge shows blank screen with webassembly
I'll see if I can get more details
[16:22]
....... (idle for 34mn)
baithe answer is, "edge is bad and they should feel bad"
"failed to asynchronously prepare wasm: CompileError: Function body too big"
cool, I closed the tab and the whole browser crashed
quality all around
there is this open ticket https://github.com/kripken/emscripten/issues/5069
actually wait no, google is just bad too, that's a different error
no one else seems to have run into this wasm "function body too big" problem
seems related to the old asm.js problem with large main functions, but I thought that was solved a long time ago - seems there may still be some browser-specific limits
[16:56]
.................. (idle for 1h26mn)
Vito`that's weird
we run ue1 in wasm for unrealty
I can't imagine that's smaller than a portion MAME
in edge
I have a Win10 box I can check it in if you have a URL
[18:28]
..... (idle for 20mn)
DFJustinit sounds like a single monster function rather than overall code size
which is definitely something mame could trip although I cut down the biggest beast a while back
[18:49]

balrogis there a way to paste into emularity? [20:14]
......... (idle for 41mn)
db48xbalrog: no :) [20:55]
balrogah that's too bad
was hoping to paste preformatted text into dectalk's console

baiit could theoretically be done, with paste events and programatic clipboard access
at least, on the web side. getting it injected into underlying systems would be emulator-dependent
and getting clipboard data back out would be similarly tricky
[21:57]
.... (idle for 15mn)
db48xfor systems like the DECTalk, where all input is going in via a serial port anyway, pasting would just be implemented by typing in whatever is in the paste buffer
you can do that with an external program, if you want
[22:13]
baitrue [22:17]
DFJustinthe injection into the underlying system is already handled by mame through the keyboard setup
you can paste into native mame from the OS clipboard
[22:21]
baioh ok cool, yeah then we could probably wire something up for mame pretty easily
SAE and dosbox might be different, but again, dosbox I think has some similar capability
[22:23]
....... (idle for 32mn)
balrog> getting it injected into underlying systems would be emulator-dependent
I mean just typing what's in the paste buffer to the keyboard
yeah
[22:55]
