HCross2arkiver: we should be in a position to properly restart late tonight/first thing in the morning
cc Kaz Igloo
[22:00]
Kazgood stuff
got netdata running?
[22:01]
HCross2not quite.. Ill try it again
the server isnt screaming as much now
[22:01]
........ (idle for 39mn)
Kazhuh, it doesn't show network info [22:41]

HCross2Kaz: I started it at 10:05.. this server is still building it [23:30]
Kazhuh
weird, maybe it'll sort itself out
[23:30]
HCross2and I didnt run it in screen... and I cant shut my desktop down [23:30]
I want to look at an NVMe go faster box
Kaz: http://master.newsbuddy.net:19999/#menu_system;theme=slate
that doesnt seem to be accurate though
[23:38]
Kazdefinitely seems weird it hasn't finished
can you kill the process and re-run in screen?
probs won't do too much damage
[23:50]
HCross2it has just done the install
but its not showing everything
[23:51]
Kazyou're not running grsec kernel or anything?
I know that fucks with a ton of things
[23:55]
HCross23.14.32-xxxx-grs-ipv6-64
ah yep.
Kaz: im probably thinking of swapping newsbuddy for a neww server with nvme
[23:55]
Kaznot a bad idea
especially if it's going to be pushing more data
[23:56]
HCross2but I am struggling to find a decent OVH box
we need NVMe and HDD
[23:57]
KazHCross2: https://github.com/firehol/netdata/issues/1110#issuecomment-254076604
or, just edit /etc/netdata/netdata.conf and tell it to run as root
obviously one solution is better than the other..
there's no need for HDD if we can offload with NVMe quick enough
[23:57]
HCross2if the IA S3 has a meltdown [23:59]
