HCrossjust a heads up.. http://master.newsbuddy.net:19999/#menu_system;theme=slate;help=true we have 1 unhappy master [12:59]
IglooStruggling with upload again? [13:04]
KazWondering if I've got a config issue somewhere..
DNS via 1.1.1.1 or 8.8.8.8 works fine, but running through the dns server on my domain controller (forwarding to 1.1.1.1) just shits out errors and fails jobs repeatedly
not sure if there's some sort of DNS timeout that's really short, or if my dns server is just ratelimiting the client

IglooSome sorty of caching Kaz ? [14:19]
.... (idle for 17mn)
Kazdon't think so, considering most of the domains I'd be hitting for this i've never touched before [14:36]
................................. (idle for 2h41mn)
HCrossKaz: could you not use root hints on the DC? [17:17]
Kazi could, but I assume that'd be slower than forwarding to 1.1.1.1 [17:18]
..... (idle for 21mn)
IglooAre you sure it's not just windows DNS being shit Kaz
Could you run up a simple linux vm and test it?
[17:39]
KazOh I'm 99% sure it's just windows DNS being shit
but I'd rather keep everything under the same resolver than have things pointing out externally
[17:41]
IglooYeah, get that, but testing etc :) [17:44]

arkiverhi
There is a new project that we could test soon
or well, a new tool to run projects with
[17:57]
KazIgloo: I'm still trying to work out what vmware things it's doing with my storage, so holding off making any new VMs :( https://s.kurt.gg/2abQHaZX.png

IglooThin provisioning Kaz ? [18:36]
Kazyeah. 2.2TB provisioned, 1.6TB used, 700GB used on the iSCSI target
just sorta doubting that Freenas is managing to compress that 900gb that's unaccounted for
Haven't tested if I could say, create a VM with a 1TB drive now, any ideas?

Kazis that through tunnelbroker, or direct peering through vmhaus? [20:29]
HCrosstunnelbroker doing BGP into my pfsense at Clouvider
Clouvider is sub 1ms from the tunnelbroker
[20:30]
Kazoh nice
v4 too, or just v6?
[20:33]
HCrossI dont have v4 space yet
thinking of getting a /24
im going to try and get BGP with Clouvider directly too
[20:34]
and probably announce out of somewhere in the USA too as a better path back to London [20:40]
....................................... (idle for 3h12mn)
Igloo20:34 <@HCross> thinking of getting a /24
