<Cowering> http://hcs64.com/mboard/forumlong.php?showthread=26929 <- that thing, how does one set up a tracker/hive/etc thing to grab that? |

Lord_Nigh: is that likely to go away soon? |

godane: are you sure Game Developer Magazine isn't already on IA? |
03:12

dashcloud |
I was pretty sure it was |

dashcloud: based on archiveteam page for gamedevelopermagazine: http://www.archiveteam.org/index.php?title=Gamedevelopermagazine |

"godane is going to upload back issues and other materials he already has." |
04:27
🔗
|
godane |
and if IA has the maybe stuff should show up index even when dark |
04:28
🔗
|
godane |
cause that would at least let us know publicly what the hell is on there and what is not |

so crazybytes 72 is going up |

Ironically SSL key being listed as not trusted... Cacert.org :) |
10:47
🔗
|
ersi |
Yeah, CACert isn't in all browsers |
10:47
🔗
|
norbert79 |
I know... StartSSL might be a better choice |
10:47
🔗
|
ersi |
Might be of principle |
10:48
🔗
|
ersi |
StartSSL is an Israeli company. CACert is built on the web-of-trust etc |
10:48
🔗
|
norbert79 |
still, not listed as trusted |
10:48
🔗
|
ersi |
And CCC have a pretty tight target group of techy people that'll probably check the certificate |
10:48
🔗
|
norbert79 |
And users are interested having green lock |
10:48
🔗
|
norbert79 |
Sure |
10:48
🔗
|
norbert79 |
But I am speaking in general |
10:48
🔗
|
ersi |
So it works for 'em |
10:48
🔗
|
ersi |
Yeah, and I'm not :) |
10:49
🔗
|
norbert79 |
"CACert is built on the web-of-trust etc" - Ironically the site is about security, where "trust" has the lowest value :) |
10:49
🔗
|
norbert79 |
But I know CCC |
10:50
🔗
|
ersi |
I figure they're as good/bad as any other CA. I use them and make sure to not send/let them generate the secret key - ie only send certificate signing request (StartCom) |
10:51
🔗
|
norbert79 |
right |
10:52
🔗
|
ersi |
Yes, the irony is not lost on me regarding CCC + "untrusted" security certificates |
10:53
🔗
|
ersi |
Also, you're a bit wrong. "trust" doesn't have the lowest value. I'd say security and trust are somewhat synonymous |
10:53
🔗
|
ersi |
But yeah, CACert isn't included in browsers auto verification lists |
10:55
🔗
|
Schbirid |
dont blame the CCC, blame the browsers |
10:56
🔗
|
Schbirid |
it is a stupid viewpoint to think that the CCC should use a different CA to please browsers when CACert is awesome and should be widely used |
10:56
🔗
|
ersi |
Both views/approaches have values. |

I recall one company allowing the signing of sub-authority certs by their certs once.. Can't recall the name... Wasn't Verisign... |

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hSnb0X6L5bA This is cool. The virus I had so long ago did something similar to this one, only without the Shockwave thing and maybe without the file destruction. I probably removed it before it had the chance. |

w0rp: I recall Fifa 97 (for Windows 95) had the CIH virus in it, which was basically fricking up the BIOS on the motherboard, and the only removal was possible through replacing the motherboard. |
