[02:15] yes [02:17] hrm it seems IA has a nice collection of old DOS games from Knowledge Adventure [02:17] except the two I used to have and lost the CDs for D: [02:18] but damn https://archive.org/details/KADEMO brought back memories [02:19] yhy [02:19] wrong window, lol [02:20] I do have some CD-ROMs from EA*Kids DOS games, I should see if IA has them [02:20] and otherwise... uh, dig up a CD drive [02:23] foudn one of them, it says "stream only", what does that mean? [02:29] probably it could be only played, but not downloaded [02:30] what are the limits for the in-browser emulator? [02:31] no idea, maybe recent version of the browser and fast hardware [02:31] I mean like, can it only play floppies? [02:32] I don't know [02:33] no experience with emulator at all [02:39] now I'm thoroughly confused [02:40] the emulator downloaded 4MB for this game, and some googling shows other websites with a 4MB download for it [02:40] but I have this on CD... o.O [02:41] sound tracks? [02:41] perhaps [02:41] one of the CDs I lost was 3D Dinosaur Adventure, by Knowledge Adventure [02:41] I once found the floppy disk version online [02:41] and indeed it has a *lot* less content [02:43] anyway, in that case IA doesn't have the CD version so there's something to contribute :) [02:47] *** vitzli has quit IRC (Quit: Leaving) [03:03] the in-browser emulator is rather good, but it's not as quick as the native one, but it loads quickly and you don't need to do any setup [03:04] also, if you've got some CD images, you can certainly try to make them playable on IA [03:07] I think one problem is that most CDs needed "installing to the hard disk" [03:08] actually... floppies too... so are there separate "raw dump of the floppy" and "installed playable game" things in IA? [03:08] yes [03:09] before the emulators were available, all you got was raw dump & cd images [03:11] multiple collections of this- the shareware collection, cover cds, floppy collections, and lots of specialized collections [03:11] here's an overview of the software: https://archive.org/details/software [03:12] for these DOS games I have CDs and printed manuals (!) in very good condition :) [03:14] anything you can add to the archive would be greatly appreciated [03:16] Scooter's Magic Castle, Eagle Eye Mysteries, some Peter Pan interactive storybook... hmm [03:18] *** fie has joined #archiveteam-bs [03:20] *** dashcloud has quit IRC (Ping timeout: 260 seconds) [03:21] *** dashcloud has joined #archiveteam-bs [03:25] *** ndiddy has quit IRC (Read error: Connection reset by peer) [03:28] *** ravetcofx has quit IRC (Read error: Operation timed out) [03:30] *** Fletcher has quit IRC (Ping timeout: 244 seconds) [03:35] *** Sk1d has quit IRC (Ping timeout: 194 seconds) [03:36] *** ravetcofx has joined #archiveteam-bs [03:38] *** Fletcher has joined #archiveteam-bs [03:41] *** Sk1d has joined #archiveteam-bs [05:14] https://twitter.com/ZAKagan/status/806259677466099718 [05:16] there are many of those, all fake [05:18] https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CzGMv3uWEAA_0xQ.jpg [05:40] *** Sk1d has quit IRC (Ping timeout: 250 seconds) [05:47] *** ravetcofx has quit IRC (Read error: Operation timed out) [05:47] *** Sk1d has joined #archiveteam-bs [05:57] *** ravetcofx has joined #archiveteam-bs [06:26] *** nicolas17 has quit IRC (Quit: U+1F634) [06:44] Frogging: Did you do the audio grabbing from the crates?
