Sometimes an Author takes their fic down, sometimes the site takes the fic down due to copyright claims alleged and/or actual violations of Terms of Service in the fic , sometimes there's a server error or whatever and data gets lost |

Maybe the Author took the fic down because they were ashamed, or maybe they were planning a re-write or whatever and never got around to it, and everything gets lost. In my opinion, archiving fics is OK, and that's as someone who'se written one or two |

General consensus is that sharing of deleted fics is opt-out, unless you want to ignore courtesy. Unless the specific author publically asks for the fic not be shared, it's considered to be okay to share it. |
