00:08 🔗 qnite has quit IRC (Ping timeout: 255 seconds)
00:14 🔗 atphoenix arkiver, the Intel driver purge you worked on in late 2019 and USPTO purge happening tomorrow something that belongs on Deathwatch? These are partial website purges rather than full, so I'm not sure.
00:15 🔗 atphoenix seems to fit in along with stuff like 'Gfycat is deleting old anonymous uploads with few views.'
00:16 🔗 JAA Yes, fine to add these since both are quite well-known/important organisations.
00:16 🔗 JAA Also, check your PMs.

01:08 🔗 OrIdow6 To summarize: Photobucket claims to have had a power outage on the 18th. Due to (they seem to imply) filesystem corruption and the like, they continued to have problems after power went back up. Many photos are still (as of ~1 hour ago) unavailable, and references to them behave as if they were never created.
01:10 🔗 DigiDigi has quit IRC (Remote host closed the connection)
01:11 🔗 OrIdow6 This is after some changes and backtracking the last 3 years as (it looks like) they try to stop losing money hosting embedded images on other sites for free

01:30 🔗 OrIdow6 Assuming that they're not lying and that this was just a power outage (& that this doesn't turn out to be the first domino), it looks to me like the categories of long-term threat from Photobucket are 1. if its change to a paid service doesn't make/hasn't made it profitable, and it shuts down altogether; and 2. if it moves completely to paid hosting and removes all free-hosted images

06:06 🔗 LowLevelM I just don't have enough help :/
06:07 🔗 Datechnom That would be much better LowLevelM. Thought there were a few people working on it atm?

14:43 🔗 tuluu has joined #archiveteam-bs
14:44 🔗 atphoenix a not-too-important feature request for an updated tracker: list position # next to name on the leaderboard . Then I don't need to re-request the leaderboard with 'show up to 500/600/700/etc' to estimate position.
14:54 🔗 SoraUta has joined #archiveteam-bs
15:06 🔗 wyatt8740 has quit IRC (Ping timeout: 360 seconds)
15:13 🔗 markedL most tracker discussion is in #archiveteam-dev on hackint.org
15:20 🔗 JAA atphoenix: Re re-request, you're probably referring to the URLTeam tracker, and that's a completely separate system that probably won't be replaced anytime soon. The normal (non-URLTeam, "universal") tracker does not have this 'show X users' thing, only either showing the top 20 (?) or all users.
15:22 🔗 JAA But yeah, a number either next to or in a `title` for hovering over a username would be good.
15:26 🔗 atphoenix yes, URLTeam tracker is what came to mind with that field.
15:39 🔗 markedL sorry for the confusion- but to be fair the mix up of trackers in this thread started in the first post
15:59 🔗 Wingy has joined #archiveteam-bs
16:05 🔗 tech234a A couple of new tracker ideas that might be helpful: the ability to limit the number of warriors that receive a project and the ability to limit a project to specific regions (by IP address)
16:10 🔗 JAA The former is (mostly) a warrior thing, not a tracker one.

17:27 🔗 atphoenix I see there are parallel channels on hackint for several AT channels. If one is more 'official' than the other, it'd be good to note which one is preferred in the channel topic so as to consolidate conversations
17:32 🔗 Raccoon some people are wanting to move from efnet to hackint. hackint is newer.
17:33 🔗 Raccoon i don't yet understand the politics
17:33 🔗 Raccoon some people on hackint are no longer on efnet
17:34 🔗 atphoenix On hackint: https://www.archiveteam.org/index.php?title=User:JustAnotherArchivist/hackint_vs_EFnet
17:35 🔗 atphoenix I prefer the stability I've seen with hackint vs the netsplits I've had on EFnet. But those can be mitigated by all of us joining the same EFnet server.
17:37 🔗 Raccoon i've never woken up the next day, cursing the productivity losses of yesterday's netsplit.
17:40 🔗 atphoenix I don't like out of order or lost messages as they disrupt conversation flow

19:16 🔗 odemgi_ arkiver, see discord, make SketchCow aware of the shit, need to start shoving it into IA if you're going to take it there's a lot of volatility and failure lately and I'm shitting the bed at the possibility I may lose such a large and unique archive.
19:16 🔗 odemgi_ ideally need a box at IA I can shovel 2-4TB/day into and have it processed from there, full thing is going to be no less than 500TB
19:23 🔗 odemgi_ initial push is going to be 50TB as that's what's currently in staging, following that 2-4T/day (y)
20:08 🔗 SootBectr arkiver: did you look at blackberry stuff any further? I started grabbing JSON details for apps from https://appworld.blackberry.com/cas/content/680
20:10 🔗 SootBectr But the ids seem to have a huge gap, got up to 271658 and I think a lot of those are invalid
20:11 🔗 SootBectr and glancing at the homepage there's one with id 39184920
20:16 🔗 SootBectr Looks like the last valid id was 138255
20:29 🔗 ivan odemgi_: what's in the archive?

22:13 🔗 JAA atphoenix, Raccoon: EFnet is the more official one for now. That doesn't mean stuff isn't happening on hackint in those channels though.
22:13 🔗 Raccoon ++
22:24 🔗 Raccoon JAA: what ircd does hackint use? /quote version
22:24 🔗 JAA Why don't you just check?
22:24 🔗 Raccoon irc.hackint.org ?
22:25 🔗 JAA Yes, port 6697 with TLS.
22:25 🔗 JAA I mean, why aren't you on there already anyway? :-P
22:26 🔗 Raccoon hmm. some buttplug has my nickname registered
22:26 🔗 Raccoon this will not do
22:27 🔗 astrid yeah that's the bummer with services
22:27 🔗 astrid people can take your name even if they aren't there
22:27 🔗 Raccoon you said bummer
22:28 🔗 JAA Also means your nick doesn't get stolen during a disconnect.
22:28 🔗 JAA And hackint expires registrations after a year of inactivity, or sooner if you ask nicely.
22:28 🔗 Raccoon yeah, but who really has time for that. really doesn't happen anymore.
22:29 🔗 Raccoon but to answer my question; at least they're using charybdis ircd
22:29 🔗 JAA I'm pretty sure someone tried here a while ago. It was very obvious though because they didn't fake it very well.
22:29 🔗 Raccoon none of that unreal / inspircd nonsense
22:30 🔗 JAA Yep, unfortunately version 3.5.x, not 4.x, which adds some nice IRCv3.2 features.
22:32 🔗 Raccoon at this point, it's kind of weird to call new features 'ircvX.Y' anymore, given that CAP works as a cafeteria buffet
22:37 🔗 schbirid has quit IRC (Quit: Leaving)
22:37 🔗 arkiver odemgi_: thanks
22:37 🔗 OrIdow6 has joined #archiveteam-bs
22:38 🔗 arkiver handling it
22:39 🔗 JAA True, and there won't be IRCv3.3 and up anymore for exactly that reason.
22:39 🔗 JAA But I'm talking about features like echo-message, which were added in 3.2.
22:42 🔗 arkiver SootBectr: no, project is not ready uet
22:42 🔗 arkiver SootBectr: going to try and get it going today!
22:52 🔗 SoraUta has joined #archiveteam-bs
22:55 🔗 BlueMax has joined #archiveteam-bs
22:57 🔗 arkiver SootBectr: so no actual app URLs yet right
22:57 🔗 arkiver looks like that needs a registered/activated account
23:01 🔗 SootBectr All the download button does on the website is send your device a message (email?) that opens the appstore app.
23:05 🔗 SootBectr Wireshark showed me the url my phone downloaded an app from but there's an authkey involved http://appworld.blackberry.com/ClientAPI/file2/21670577?dwnAuth={10 digits}_{32 chars, so I guess md5}

23:31 🔗 arkiver is the authkey the same every time?
23:31 🔗 arkiver SootBectr: ^
23:32 🔗 arkiver and also the same acorss different apps downloading to the same device?
23:36 🔗 SootBectr I tried two apps and the 10digit part stayed the same but the md5 changed
23:38 🔗 SootBectr The download also worked in a web browser once the useragent was set appropriately, but it gives an error now so might be time limited
23:39 🔗 arkiver the 10 digits are still the same for when the one giving the error now was valid?
23:39 🔗 arkiver the same as now
23:42 🔗 SootBectr This is a URL in my notes from yesterday, so the query string is still the same
23:42 🔗 SootBectr I'll test a few more
23:43 🔗 SootBectr with the phone.

23:53 🔗 nicolas17 not AWS S3 right?
23:53 🔗 nicolas17 ah I ese
23:53 🔗 nicolas17 see
23:53 🔗 nicolas17 there's an S3-compatible API
