So i have 1 TB exernal hard drive and i read online that it can fail at any time so i am thinking of buying a bigger exernal hard drive, so if i get for example a new hard drive i should back up all the files from the 1 TB hard drive to the 4TB hard drive? |

there is a method called RAID to combine say 5 hard drives such that if you lose any one of them you can recover all the data |
