So I've always hated tmux's default prefix of ^B. I came from screen and was used to ^A, and ^B is really awkward to type in comparison. But today, I finally found a use for it: nested tmux sessions. I can control the outer with ^A and the inner with ^B. :-) |

Yup, home. I've never used ^A to go to the beginning of the line. |

And if you have the prefix on both layers set to the same, you'll have to do ^A ^A c for example to create a window in the inner session. Quickly becomes quite annoying and errorprone. |
