marked1: Thanks for the hint to libraries. I knew that many of them are digitising books of course, but I wasn't aware that some also have book scanners available for private use. That should be better than a DIY thing. Although I was kind of looking forward to playing around with lasers and stuff. :-P |

Hmm, yeah, dunno know enough about Germany. Scanners I've noticed in US public and university libraries are usually always in self-serve areas, so regardless of intention as long as nobody is waiting, nobody will even notice. |
