[06:18] greetings all. What flavour of Linux does the warrior run? [06:26] I think it uses the GNU userland [06:27] hmm, well it seems that my sound problem may be on my host. The host looses sound when I start up any other VM but the warrior one. The VMs have sound....off to learn how to get sound to work... [06:28] warrior does sound? [06:30] dragondon: what VM package are you using? [06:30] and on what host OS [06:31] virtual box, debian [06:32] Squeeze? [06:33] actually, I guess it doesn't really matter what distro so much as what audio setup it is [06:33] e.g. PulseAudio or whatnot [06:33] squeeze [06:33] alsa [06:33] nothing in the middle? [06:35] there's a bug in Ubuntu (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/virtualbox-ose/+bug/202957) about this, maybe VBox's ALSA driver still does the same thing as it did back then [06:36] debian is not ubuntu.....:/ close but not quite....and this just happened today. was working fine yesterday+ [06:37] I know Debian isn't Ubuntu, but that bug isn't Ubuntu-specific [06:38] sound works in VM, any VM....it's the host that dies. Something is shutting it down. I have noticed that I suddenly now have a volume control, coulnd't get it before. [06:38] in the task bar area [06:47] well, a stupid work around....change the host audio driver... [10:24] Back from SleepStudy! [10:30] Wow, a ton of PicPlz got converted and uploaded. [10:46] Backfill of FortuneCity now happening. That'll totally be caught up today. [10:46] That leaves a pile of PicPlz and that's it. [10:57] http://stath.at/sh/Pds6r5tfCVs1XA30 [11:06] lol [14:07] UGH, thank you, domainsponsor, for blocking luminarymicro.com from ia_archiver :[ [20:45] SketchCow: is there a way to tell if a story has been marked done by the tracker but not actually uploaded? [20:59] Need to ask alard [20:59] Just responded in #webshots. (And the question turned out to be different. :) [22:35] alard: New thing - I have a tar that crashes megawarc [22:39] I see. Another time, perhaps? (Or maybe you have a link that I can look at later?) [22:57] It can wait. [22:58] I'll find the troublemaker and leave it out [22:59] https://github.com/alard/warc-proxy (now easier to use and with Firefox add-on) [23:01] alard: nice! [23:01] (still in development and probably buggy, so I wouldn't link it elsewhere) [23:01] tef: I'd like to add a big red "Record to WARC" button. [23:03] nice! i'd love to see that but I am NDA'd from adding it myself [23:04] fwiw, I did push warctools to github https://github.com/tef/warctools/
