Hi |
15:24

Martini |
I have a little issue with OpenLibrary, I don't know if it something usual. |
15:25

|
Martini |
I can not link PDF of a book that is on the Internet Archive, because the OpenLibrary page already points to other Internet Archive page that has the "daisy" stuff. |
15:25

|
Martini |
This is the book: https://openlibrary.org/works/OL4782314W/Rexx_Programmer's_Reference_(Programmer_to_Programmer) |

The PDF is here: https://archive.org/details/RexxProgrammersReference |

But it seems that the "Read" button can not be enabled if the PDF is not located on the same location of the "daisy" files. Here: https://archive.org/details/rexxprogrammersr00fosd |

Martini: hmmm, you should email info@archive.org, they can maybe help? |
17:33
🔗
|
xmc |
this sounds like a weird thing. |
17:33
🔗
|
Martini |
ok, I will do that. |
17:33
🔗
|
xmc |
or, also, |
17:33
🔗
|
Martini |
It seems that you can not have two Internet Archive links on the same book record. |
17:34
🔗
|
xmc |
iirc there is a place in the archive.org metadata to put a link pointing to openlibrary |
17:34
🔗
|
xmc |
which you should also do, and might do the right thing?? |
17:34
🔗
|
Martini |
Any information on how to do that? |
17:35
🔗
|
Martini |
I know it works from OpenLibrary you add the link to Internet Archive, but I didn't know it worked the other way too. |
