I'm getting the sneaky suspicioun the authors of both vice.js and v86 want you to contact them. no ./configure.in for vice.js and no windows images are loadable by v86. Next step is to see what it would take to emscripten the latest vice which was released last December. |

SketchCow: If we did go vice.js we wouldn't be able to get updates from the latest vice. and vice.js is one file loaded with magic numbers, no history and no documentation. |

I should say 'could even possibly manage to go' instead of 'go'. |

if someone here could test v86 LOCALLY on their harddrive using debug.html with Windows 95 or Windows 98 under Windows and/or Mac. That'd be of help. I'm contemplating neighter will work as the http://copy.sh works fine for me under Linux. impedence mismatch. |

that is so say I can emulate Windows 95 and Windows 98 using copy.sh but not locally via debug.html. other images work locally. btw I found out PAE isn't supported. |

It'd be nice if we could use VirtualBox but it's a qt monster. |

JohnTalen: if you get Vice re-ported, you probably want to make the effort to get it running with SDL2. SDL1 with emscripten is more like a shim, SDL2 is the real thing. |

Vito`: yes. It's more mature. I'm just trying 1.2. Same results no menus. They fixed a few bugs from december but created some new ones. i'll go back to sdl2 when I figure out the menu accessibility. |

aparently vice.js appears to require you get v 2.4 and splice it into the project. |

it's possible that vice.js as a separate project is no longer needed, if Vice itself cross-compiles fine |

ok, the v86 source is officially not matching the images. Images are a one to one relationship with the code. I have to boot it from scratch. do any of you have a slipstreamed bootable windows 98 install cd? (w95 is nice too) |
