It's not so easy with the 'just submit a URL' - you need to find out what characters the short linkes are made of and find the quirks of the shortener in most cases, like how would you know if you're banned (differs for most of them)
[14:18] <ersi> or what error codes do that have, or do they re-use shortcodes etc
[14:19] <ersi> With regards to the other questions, I think nothing is really decided. It depends on chfoo's awesome work (unless someone else chips in his/her valuable time as well) and what there's time for.
