[01:48] *** VADemon_ has quit IRC (Quit: left4dead) [02:06] i see the same thing that Fusl reports which is why the other day i asked how SteveWasHere climbs in the leaderboards so fast. that user scanned 30 million and that name dominates the recent table, yet all of mine are currently showing "no items available" [02:07] i could set the rate limit in nginx to be more aggressive as a temporary measure [02:10] only sharing because it seems weird. dont adjust anything unless you feel there is an issue [03:13] interesting [03:14] in many years we haven't had any issues (so far as i can remember) with people falsifying results just to win the leaderboard [03:14] but i would be unsurprised-dismayed to see such a thing happen [03:15] but i don't have visibility into this, so :) :) carry on [03:51] sounds good. the truth will come out in the annual audit [03:51] ... audit? [03:58] exactly what i wanted to hear [03:59] you heard em fellas! hack the leaderboard. jk [03:59] but seriously stevewashere is my enemy for being so good [10:24] *** kiska1 has quit IRC (Read error: Operation timed out) [10:31] *** TigerbotH has quit IRC (Ping timeout: 600 seconds) [10:33] *** kiska1 has joined #urlteam [10:33] *** mtntmnky has quit IRC (Ping timeout: 600 seconds) [10:36] *** mtntmnky has joined #urlteam [10:37] *** TigerbotH has joined #urlteam [13:00] chfoo: what we need is moooooarrr items [13:12] s/items/shorteners/ [13:13] Or rather, shortener configurations. All shorteners are listed on https://tracker.archiveteam.org:1338/ somewhere, including the exact configuration options. [13:20] On https://tracker.archiveteam.org:1338/status to be precise. [21:50] got it [21:50] I think Somebody2 explained to Flashfire in here a while ago how the tracker admin works. [21:50] so whats the reason only so few shorteners are active at this time? [21:52] Noone added more, I think. The ones that are registered on the tracker but inactive are complete, down, or paused for some reason. [21:52] Make sure to keep the wiki page updated when you add or retire any shorteners. [21:53] The queue size effectively acts as a rate limiter, by the way. I typically start with a low value (e.g. 20) and then increase it slowly until stuff starts breaking. [21:56] oh so that is what's limiting everyone lol [21:57] the few active shorteners + the queue size of them [21:58] Yep [21:59] But we can't really increase the queue size without getting banned, overloading servers, or similar things. [21:59] So what we need is more shorteners.
