Can I do anything to improve the chances it gets picked up for archival, for example by writing URL enumeration parameters for Terror of Tiny Town? [08:56] I mean the more information given the more likely it is to be archived [08:56] kimsey0 What URL shortener do you want grabbed? [08:57] http://kortlink.dk/. I have all the things specified in the Researching URL Shorteners part of the wiki. [08:57] What do you have for me? [08:57] (I haven't edited the page yet. I just need to sign up.) [08:58] If you post the information here first I can get it running now and you add it to the wiki when you get the Secret word [08:58] Or I can wait until you update the wiki and do it then [08:58] Danish URL shortener. No HTTPS. URLs are generated sequentially, starting at kortlink.dk/a, adding extra characters and ending in, at time of writing, kortlink.dk/xy5n. For 1 and 2 character URLs, the character set seems to be abcdefghijklmnoqrstuvwxyz0123456789, while it changes to abcdefghkmnpqrstuvwxyz23456789 for 3 and 4 characters. Total number of links today is therefore less than 838.260. Valid links return a 302 status code with a valid Locatio [08:58] while invalid links return a 302 status code with an empty Location header. [08:59] its only lowercase?\ [08:59] Not case sensitive? [08:59] It's case insensitive. [09:00] Ok then we will just grab lowercase [09:02] Ok that is a bit beyond me for how to set it up with location headers I am a bit of a tech noob but your request is noted and will be started soon [09:02] Somebody2 Please help I dont know how to add this shortener [09:03] If TOTT doesn't support checking the Location header to determine if a URL is valid, I can help code that as well. [09:03] Look it probably does I just dont understand it enough [09:03] I am not a coder usually [10:50] Flashfire: It looks like the base service can handle Location headers, including reporting "not found" when the Location is empty (https://github.com/ArchiveTeam/terroroftinytown/blob/develop/terroroftinytown/services/base.py#L167). [10:52] You could probably just use the large character set. That'll mean a few extra requests, but not too many.
