I was briefly thinking about this, maybe if we ever do another version of the tracker and such, could we possibly set up the concept of parents and children for trackers? That way, we can have one parent bit.ly and all of the children (customer domains) don't push too many requests, and if the URL codes are shared between parent and child, we don't duplicate requests unnecessarily |

phuzion: As far as I understand it, because bit.ly serves the same shortcodes as custom domains (with the exception of custom shortcodes, but we don't cover those anyway), we don't really need to scan the custom domains at all. So something like that isn't necessary. |

Another thing I was thinking about was developing a browser plugin that basically scrapes short codes that it sees, and returns them to us to check. I don’t know whether the Firefox/Chrome stores would allow that, but it might be useful to look into. |
