Is it possible to run more than one Archive warrior in a laptop/PC? Like to have multiple ones going on at the same time. [19:44] do you use vmware or virtualbox? [19:45] yes [19:45] that's the one! [19:46] qwebirc47: if you run it command line (aka, not running the warrior) you can run as much as you want [19:46] No I am running them with the UI [19:47] you can run multiple warriors on one machine, you just have to change the port forwarding in virtualbox [19:47] So I guess that limits me to one per machine right? [19:48] oh ok! Do you guys have anything written on how I can do that? It would help speed up the process. I have a laptop running 24/7 with one Warrior only so if I can squeeze more out of it would be great! [19:48] http://archiveteam.org/index.php?title=Warrior#Can_I_run_multiple_virtual_machines_at_the_same_time.3F [19:49] Cheers guys! Didn't notice that! [19:49] heh, was just in the process of writing that out [19:51] let me try and set this up. If I run into any probs I'll come back [20:10] So I followed all the steps from the link above. I am now at the Port Forwarding Rules window. Any ideas from here an on? I don't wanna screw anything! [20:10] Do I need to change the host port or the guest port? [20:15] let me look real quick [20:15] its the host port [20:16] actually I managed to set up the forwarding rules as follows: TCP | 127.0.0.1 | 8123 | | 8001. and then visited http://localhost:8123/ and mapped port 8123 in my browser to port 8001 but 8001 is now not working [20:17] that is the point. Warriors can't share the same port. [20:18] So the first one keeps 8001 the second gets a different one, the third yet another, etc [20:19] I see, so I need to create a new port for each warrior. Do I need to download a new instance of the warrior for each port? [20:20] you can import the same ova file again and again. [20:23] OK it's a little bit more complicated than I thought. [20:24] I'll leave it for now. If you guys get a chance please update that section with a bit more details. It is useful for people who want to dedicate more resources [20:25] usually for people who want to contribute a lot, we ask that they run scripts directly and stay available in here [20:26] or in the project channels [20:26] I would't mind running script directly. I just don't know much about how to run scripts [20:26] ! [20:26] the availability being the really important part [20:27] I am more than happy to contribute my time though. If there is anything else you need help with let me know. [20:28] running projects outside of the Warrior environment is part of each project's readme, e.g. https://github.com/ArchiveTeam/lastfm-grab in "Running without a Warrior" [20:29] we write all software for UNIX-ish machines and strongly recommend the same for people who want to run that software outside the Warrior [20:35] I am using an MAcBook Air so I am guessing I am covered with the UNIX side of things. I will switch to Ubuntu some day... I hope soon : ) [20:58] *** sankin has quit IRC (Leaving.) [21:06] *** qwebirc47 has quit IRC (Quit: Page closed) [23:52] *** toad has joined #warrior
