No worries man. Iβm just playing around with the manager. I was able to copy the code to run 4 concurrent warriors on my pi right now. The next step whenever you get a chance to guide me is how to change the storage from SD to external hdd and possibly to increase the swp size to allow these to all run at the same time properly |

@kaz, is there a way to access the localwarrior:8001 page from a browser on another computer on the same local network when running a VM on virtualbox? If so what settings would I need to use? |
14:01
π
|
Terbium |
Unblock port 8001 in firewall of VM |
14:01
π
|
Terbium |
set network to bridge |
14:01

In VirtualBox |
14:02
π
|
Terbium |
Find ip of VM in the LAN and go to IPOFVM:8001 |
14:02
π
|
Terbium |
http://IPOFVN:8001 more specifically |
14:04
π
|
Terbium |
or alternatively use SSH local port forwarding |

Iβm Just trying to monitor how itβs all going from my phone or another computer so I appreciate it @Terbium |
14:06
π
|
oshura-m |
Iβll try that in a bit once my little one goes down for his morning power nap |
14:11
π
|
Terbium |
oshura-m: im not sure if the VM has firewall as ive never used it, if it doesnt you can skip the unblocking step |
14:16
π
|
Terbium |
oshura-m: if you are able to ssh into the vm from another computer you can skip setting the box network mode to bridge and directly try browsing to the ip+port url |

@Terbium: how do I figure out the ipofvm in the lan? |

oshura: type in "ip addr" to show ip addresses of VM |
21:08
π
|
oshura |
let me try |
21:08
π
|
Terbium |
if your VM was configured in bridge mode your VM becomes part of your lan with its own IP address |
21:08
π
|
Terbium |
If you subnet is 192.168.1.X your VM ip will have that prefix |
21:09
π
|
Terbium |
Your VM may have multiple IPs, find the one that corresponds to your LAN subnet |
21:09
π
|
Terbium |
Then ping the ip from another machine "ping IPADDR" to see if its reachable with that IP |
21:10
π
|
Terbium |
IPADDR is your VMs ip address |
21:10
π
|
oshura |
when i type `ip addr` into the vm window that pops up automatically when i run it, nothing happens |
21:11
π
|
oshura |
theres no way to pull up a terminal? |
21:11
π
|
Terbium |
Where Are you running your VM ? |
21:11
π
|
oshura |
virtualbox |
21:11
π
|
Terbium |
On your local PC? |
21:14
π
|
oshura |
oracl vm virtualbox to be precise |
21:18
π
|
Terbium |
Does a window with a terminal pop up when the VM starts up? |
21:19
π
|
oshura |
its an auto terminal byt i have no control over it, ie no bash screen |
21:19
π
|
Terbium |
Are you able to SSH in? |
21:20
π
|
oshura |
its my local machine |
21:20
π
|
oshura |
ive never tried to ssh into a vm before |
21:26
π
|
Terbium |
Hmm, it appears from the AT wiki VirtualBox uses NAT instead of bridged networking by default. I'll try installing it on my VirtualBox setup and see if i can write a guide for you |
