15:56 🔗 Knuckx Hi, just an FYI: I got the warrior VM running under VMWare ESXi (the VMWare bare metal hypervisor). To do so you have to import the OVA into VMWare Player/Workstation, then re-export it. Once you do this, it will import to ESXi without complaining via the "Deploy OVF" option. Once imported, you might have to play with the IDE configuration (make sure the the boot vdisk is IDE 0:0 and the secondary vdisk is IDE 1:0). My instance

17:17 🔗 chazchaz Well, I hope the last bit wasn't something important.
17:18 🔗 Baljem it's been a while since I set mine up, but I don't remember having to do anything other than just deploy the OVF... although I fiddled with the disk configuration anyway because that host was short on space
17:23 🔗 chazchaz I don't really understand why someone would want to run the warrior on a high end VM setup. Wouldn't it be more efficient to run just the scripts on a barebones debian install?
17:26 🔗 chazchaz My understanding was that warrior was for non linux savy people who want an easy way to help.
17:29 🔗 yipdw chazchaz: I prefer people run the Warrior, especially people who think they're savvy
17:30 🔗 yipdw it's that latter group who is more likely to screw something up
17:31 🔗 yipdw also running the VM image in an ESXi setup is likely to be more convenient from a management perspective
17:56 🔗 chazchaz I can see that side too, but I feel like I've learned a fair amount running the script. I guess that's more to my benefit than archive team's though.
